The municipality is located to the N. of the province of Zaragoza.
It is accessed from the capital via the AP-68 motorway, with a detour to the local road at Alagon, and a new detour at Tauste to road C-127 and 137, and finally reaching the north of the Community, on the Berdún Canal, next to the Yesa reservoir.
It is located on top of a small hill, in the Comarca of La Jacetania, 40 km away from Jaca and 60 km. from Pamplona.
When the visitor arrives in Artieda there is a well-kept urban center, with cobbled streets of great beauty and interest.
