Sus patronos son:
Santa Quiteria, que fue asesinada por su propio padre es la abogada de la rabia.
Santo Domingo de Guzman fue el creador del rosario y fundador de la orden de los dominicos.
Su fiesta más famosa es la Semana Santa incluida en la Ruta del Tambor y del Bombo.
Samper de Calanda está situado a 80 km de Zaragoza.
En esta noble villa se puede apreciar una arquitectura medio cristiana medio morisca.
La influencia del Mudéjar en gran parte de Teruel.
Esto fue debido a la permanencencia de la población de cultura islámica tras la reconquista, además Samper era unos de los pueblos pertenecientes a la orden templaria de San Juan de Jerusalen, que hicieron uso de este estilo artístico en sus edificaciones.
Destacan su iglesia y la Ermita de Santa Quiteria.
