Traditionally always been known legends, stories, myths, stories ... that explores the curiosities and concerns that impressed mankind since man is man.
The legend that is going to tell his part true and part false, as any story that is transmitted through oral channel, but by no means without its relevance and importance.
The story takes us to Abanto, small place in the province of Zaragoza belonging to the region of Calatayud and located in a privileged area of Zaragoza geography: from the Monasterio de Piedra Lagoon and Gallocanta.
Legend has it that many years ago, maybe two or three hundred, a farmer from Browns hamlet inhabited Abanto and unfortunately was conducting field work with a pair of oxen. This pardeño had begun his task to make the day since around the time the incident occurred feast of San Antonio, anticipating the summer period the performance of the horse down considerably to get the heat, which gave the fly. Thus, the protagonist of our story was closed to farm work 11:30 am to go to Browns for lunch. In the piece I was working with left the farm implements and oxen left with Browns face.

The farmer came home and was greeted by his wife that he had already prepared some tasty food for addressing the penalties that the field work involved. Well fed, and best drunk decided to finish off his task at about 17:00 hours, once the heat had subsided.
the way he met other farmers who came ready to work and those who talked about the harvest was coming and the heat that hit his back.
But the surprise was coming and when the farmer came to the room in which he was laboring in the morning, could not believe what their eyes saw. Their tools were missing and ... Ceded the ground! His farm was no longer a place of culture but a small lagoon. What had happened? Actually neither pardeño nobody knew, but the truth is that where once there was land to till now only seen water.
Immediately left for Hazel to tell their neighbors what happened and since then the place is called the Eye of Pardos, although Some maps are collected as Hazel Eyes Laguna.
The legend is not over there because since then and to date, and probably much longer, the eye has been covered Pardos by a halo of mystery and respect. While it is common for people to bathe young people in the Laguna de las Fuentes, swampy area that is used for irrigation, very few people have dared to enter the waters of Hazel Eye. Legend has it that a woman Abanto, colored by a life of problems and sorrows, decided to end his life by jumping into the eye of brown.

The Eye of Pardos was used in his day as a source to irrigate crops in the area. Thus, by 1933 an engine was installed from Pamplona along with a bomb that managed to reach five feet deep.
Currently Eye of Pardos contains very little water due to lack of rains last year and, of course, is no longer used for irrigation. However, Hazel Eye talk among people over Abanto is to recall bad memories and worst fears.
