NATURAL SPACES IN ARAGON : EL MAESTRAZGO
Teruel's Maestrazgo is an ensemble of sierras extending to the Mediterranean sea. They are very eroded by the rivers that flow from their peaks and that have created deep valleys and defiles.
CULTURAL PARK OF MOLINOS :
Leaving behind Galliupuén reservoir we arrive in Molinos, a town rising over the spectacular defile of San Nicolás. The cultural park include the singular Grutas de Cristal (Crystal Caves) and other interesting spots such as el Pozo del Salto or the geological and paleontological itinerary of El Estrecho. We find well-preserved natural habitats with pine trees and rocky areas, with many birds of prey and different mammals.
ALTO GUADALOPE :
The Órganos de Montoro are spectacular and capricious walls and needle-shaped rocks that resemble organ pipes. They are near Montoro, on the banks of the river Guadalope. Los Ojos del Río Pitarque (The eyes of the river Pitarque) are cavities excavated in the rock through which the river flows. It is a river rich in trouts, with hatcheries in Villarluengo. Wild goats, otters, birds of prey and abundant vulture colonies.
