FESTIVALS IN ARAGON: TERUEL
Fiestas del Angel.
Fecha: El segundo domingo de julio, cerca de San Cristóbal.
Dedicadas al Santo Angel , patrono de la ciudad, rememoran la legendaria fundación de Teruel por parte de unos caballeros aragoneses tras tomar la fortaleza musulmana a la que les condujo un toro bravo. El festejo más popular es el toro ensogado, que corre por las calles entre los quiebros de los mozos, especialmente el del lunes. Pero sobre todo, es una fiesta popular y callejera, con actuaciones, bailes, jotas, dances, tracas de fuegos artificiales y vaquillas.
